Tasman Forge creates unique handcrafted entrance doors in timeless designs, suited to either contemporary or classic settings. Our range has been carefully created for those projects where style, aesthetic appeal and high quality are of upper most importance.
With a mix of classic artistry and the strength of iron we are able to offer you an individual high-quality entranceway where the handcrafted detail is apparent.
Specifications
All our doors are custom made to order and are available in any size, shape or design. They come pre-hung in a steel frame with mounting brackets attached for ease of installation and are insulated with high quality foam that is pumped into both the frame and the doors.
The doors are equipped with hinged 16mm laminated safety glass panels that open independently of the doors allowing for easy cleaning, security and ventilation. We use a foam weather-strip that attaches to the frame of the door and a rubber weather-strip for the hinged glass panels.
Top and bottom flush bolts are used on all double doors to secure the inactive door. Our standard hardware preparation on a double door is 54mm (2 1/8inches) bore, 51mm (2 3/8inches) back set, 140mm (5½inches) centre to centre and on a single door the back set is 70mm (2 ¾inches).
High quality thumb latch handles are included with the door (2 for a single door and 4 for a double door), but other handles and locks can be accommodated if requested by the customer, however, you will need to send the actual lock in order for us to install it and make sure it functions properly.
Colour options
We offer 3 colour options for the doors: Standard Antiqued, Copper Antiqued and Black Antiqued and 2 colour options for the accompanying handle sets: Bronze Antiqued and Pewter Antiqued (click on door thumbnails to view colours and handles).
