TESTIMONIALS
I have been aware of the beauty and quality of Tasman Forge products for many years. For a recent project I commissioned a pair of wrought iron handles for a large home in the Mt Cook region. Tasman Forge was the perfect fit, as I wanted a hand crafted, recycled look for the front door handles that were able to project a sense of solid, dependable, bespoke craftsmanship.
I did have concerns about commissioning craftsmanship, conveying measurements and organising shipping, from another country, but after speaking with Tim and receiving his detailed, prompt and thorough communications, I was completely confident and knew I would never regret the investment. The rods look – and more importantly feel – like something you might find in a 300-year-old European farmhouse. He really knows curtain hardware!
The finished products have added an enormous amount of charm and style to our renovation. These days it is too easy to buy off the shelf cheaper products but frankly they look it. I believe if you invest in superior materials and work with a caring and understanding designer you can achieve your desired look.

I love the design and finish of the Tasman Forge wrought iron rods and accessories. Their visual impact speaks quality and longevity, with a timeless look and feel.

We wanted a gazebo at the top of our, 40 degree gradient, section. It needed to be hexagonal, built to last and beautiful. Tasman Forge leapt to the challenge, and designed and installed a masterpiece of grace and precision. Tim understood the purpose, both functionally and aesthetically, and artistically interpreted all of that. It enhances our house, and the space outside our house and is much used and loved. We are so pleased wholeheartedly to recommend Tasman Forge’s work.
We have some awkward windows so finding a company that could custom make to our needs was invaluable. The advice and assistance we received to make sure we got the right brackets etc for our needs was wonderful – we really didn’t expect such great service from a place we couldn’t even walk into and with everything done via photos and email.
Every time I open our curtains, I hear the wonderful sound of wrought iron rings sliding along a wrought iron bar. They don’t stick – they flow cleanly. And I look at the finials – a different style finial in each of the bedrooms and lounges – and I appreciate them anew.
I love the curtains rods and rings so much. Reminds me of when we lived in France and would visit our ferronnière to produce all manner of things, which is something sorely missed in Australia. Real craftsmanship is hard to find. I adore wrought iron for its strength and quality plus its elegant look and timeless appeal.

The quality of Tasman Forge’s work beats all competition, hands down. You can see Tim’s passion for design in the finished product is not just metalwork …. it’s artwork. His creative eye and attention to detail come together in everything he creates.
Over the years Tim has designed and forged several wrought iron pieces for us and we love them all. They are not only functional in form but also beautiful to behold, and have an air of permanence about them. They help to make our house a home.
Great to deal with, good quality products purchased for the look, but hard to beat for durability and longevity. Nothing looks or works as good as the real thing!
Tim was very easy to work with and provided great advice, both from a practical and design perspective. We love the aesthetics; the beautiful workmanship and the quality finish of his work.
The Tasman Forge wrought ironwork has transformed our home finishing off a major renovation and added value with a unique bespoke Entrance door, balustrades, and gates. We gave Tim the freedom to design and create each item without hesitation and he more than delivered. He is a skilled craftsman, very professional and timely in his liaison with us.
